The carton of pureed prunes seems to have taken care of Oliver's constipation. Wes was home with him yesterday morning, and after one diaper of constipated poop, Oliver evidently had two enormous bowel movements of prune poop. Followed by five -- yes, five -- more pruney, poopy diapers throughout the day. He didn't sleep any better last night, but I have to believe that he's feeling a little better.
We think the main culprit was Wes. It sounds like, after some investigating, that he was feeding Ollie as much baby cereal as he wanted -- which was a LOT. The vegetables were helping to keep things moving, but not enough to offset the starchy cereal. Wes has been duly admonished -- we shouldn't respond to all the baby's feeding cues -- and we're down to 2 tbs. of cereal and 2 tbs. of milk twice a day, plus veggies or, soon, some fruit.
And we have the second carton of prunes on hand just in case...
