Me and Zola

A few weeks ago, I opened a new package of pull-ups for Emmeline.  I usually get both the "boy pulls-ups" and the "girl pull-ups" for her, since she likes the design on both.  This was the first time she'd worn the "girl" ones since Zola came home though.  When I handed this one to her, Emme looked at the front and said very matter-of-factly, "It's me and Zola."

Indeed.

Oliver just learned that Darth Vader is Luke's father. He is both confused by that relationship and not clear on why Darth is trying to, in Wes's words, "make Luke a bad guy."

(Re)adopted

Three months ago and half a world away, I met Zola for the first time. Today we completed her readoption and name change. She now has her momma's (and paternal grandmother's) name as a middle name and her Congolese adoption has been recognized by the state.
