Ollie has been really into the roofers around here the past few weeks. We were one of the first houses to have our roof replaced after the hail, and now everywhere we go, there's someone getting a roof put on. Oliver likes to play "roof mans" by climbing various places (on his work bench, one his bed, on his dresser) and hammering loudly. He takes his job very seriously.
Recently, he said to me in the morning, in complete earnestness, "Mom, if you want to talk to me, don't say Oliver. Say 'roof mans.'" When it was time for school, Oliver wasn't putting on his shoes, and I finally said, "Hey, roof mans, put on your shoes." He stopped whatever he was doing, looked at me, and said, "Thank you, mom. Yes, you did it right." And then he put his shoes on.
